...and it’s electric.
In taking flight, the Caravan became, according to the companies behind the project, the largest all-electric passenger or cargo aircraft ever to fly.

I’m wondering if it has seats at all, or if the entire cabin is taken up with batteries.

Supposedly, it can carry 4 or 5 passengers for about 100 miles, which means it has almost closed the gap with the first fossil fuel airliner, the Sikorsky S21 Vityaz of 1913 (7 passengers, 110 miles) .

Carrying 4-5 people 100 miles seems like not much utility for a few million bucks.

Is that with or without fuel reserve?

To be fair, that’s about all the airliner we’re likely to need for the next 2-3 years

I find it interesting that they said 30min of charge time can equate to close to the same amount of flight time.
I wonder if it charges using the same style of GPU already available at airports. That would go a long way towards helping with feasibility.

They beat Evation.
Theyre supposed to start their first test flight soon.
